Scientific Background
Founded in 1968, the Plasma Chemistry Group at the University of Bari is the oldest in Europe and it is a reference in plasma-assisted surface engineering. For over 30 years, it was led by Prof. Riccardo d’Agostino—a pioneer in the field of Plasma Technology. Today, the group brings together researchers from the University and the CNR and it is internationally recognized for its contributions to plasma chemistry in materials science.
The scientific and technical Team at Plasmapps comes directly from this group, carrying decades of expertise and hands-on experience in advanced plasma technologies.

In 2012, Plasmapps Srl was founded as a direct evolution of long-standing collaborations between academia and industry, transforming advanced plasma research into custom industrial solutions.
