Plasma Technology for Degradation Protection and Packaging Barrier Enhancement
Plasma tech for Protection
Rubber and metal components are constantly exposed to aggressive chemicals, moisture, solvents, and atmospheric agents that can compromise their structural integrity, surface properties, and long-term performance. Corrosion, oxidation, UV radiation, and chemical exposure accelerate aging, wear, and material failure.
Plasmapps has developed an advanced plasma-based surface treatments that increase the resistance of rubber, metals, polymers, and composites to corrosion, oxidation, chemical attack, and atmospheric degradation.
Traditional materials such as PE, PP, and PET, as well as innovative biopolymers including TPS, PLA, PHA, and cellulose, often do not provide the required gas barrier performance, making multilayer films or chemical coatings necessary. These conventional solutions complicate recyclability and increase environmental impact.
At the same time, the migration of substances from packaging—including plasticizers, adhesives, and stabilizers—is becoming a growing concern, particularly in baby food, medical-grade, and organic applications. These compounds may alter product taste, exceed regulatory migration limits, and jeopardize consumer safety.
Plasmapps offers ultra-thin, plasma-deposited barrier coatings that reduce substance migration while enhancing the gas barrier properties of packaging materials—without affecting their weight, appearance, or recyclability.
