Corrosion, chemicals, solvents, scratches, wear, UV-Vis radiation, damage the surfaces of materials reducing their performances. Plasmapps Ltd has successfully developed different plasma processes for protecting the surfaces of metals, alloys, polymers, rubber and fabrics.
It is possible to deposit  nanometric and transparent anticorrosion coatings for metals and alloys, preventing their corrosion and increasing their resistance to wear and scratches.
When the coating is applied onto polymers used for food and pharmaceutical packaging, it works like barrier to oxygen, nitrogen, or carbon dioxide and preserves the diffusion of the aroma.
With Plasmapps Ltd it becomes possible to protect  rubber and plastic items from chemicals attack, ensuring optimum performance and durability of the industrial products.
Plasmapps Ltd has also developed a stain-resistant coating (hydro- and oleo-phobic) to protect natural and synthetic fabrics, leather and upholstery with the maximum degree of stain resistance provided by the Dupont test (6,6), resistant to industrial washing and ironing. Plasmapps Ltd has developed many plasma processes for protecting fabrics, natural and synthetic fibers:
  • Anti-felting and anti-pilling;
  • Antibacterial / anti-odor fabrics;
  • Photocatalytic fabrics;
  • Hydrophobic and stain resistance fabrics;

Wear resistant and Anti-corrosion Coating for Metals and Alloys
